2008-2011 Porsche 997 (911) (997.2) MKII Carrera S Specifications Specs

2008-2011 Porsche 997 (911) (997.2) MKII Carrera S Specifications SpecsIn 2008 the Porsche 997 (911) Carrera S was released with some small exterior refinements but some rather large under the hood changes. The exterior of the second generation 997 S saw minor changes, but the most noticeable was the addition of the LED lights that came from the Cayenne. Porsche really took the 997s engine and reduced weight and increased power by simplifying its systems to make it more reliable and deliver better power delivery. Also the Porsche 997 Carrera S saw a major change to its available automatic transmission moving from the Tiptronic S to the PDK (double clutch) system, which allowed drivers to enjoy a manual or automatic option. As with the standard Porsche 911, the S model was really a work of refinement than reinventing of the design.
