2006-2007 Porsche 997 (911) (997.1) Carrera GT3 RS Specifications Specs

2006-2007 Porsche 997 (911) (997.1) Carrera GT3 RS Specifications SpecsIn 2006 the Porsche 997 (911) GT3 RS debuted as a wide and lighter version of the standard GT3. The 997 GT3 RS used the wider S body shell over the base GT3 that used the standard 911 body. As well as being wider if was lighter then the standard GT3, which Porsche accomplished by using carbon fiber for some body parts, lighter flywheel and even a plastic rear window. The RS shared the same power source as the standard GT3. The 997 GT3 RS came standard with a roll cage and sport seats. Even though the Porsche 997 GT3 RS was built for the track, Porsche made its off track ride manageable with the inclusion of their PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) system allowing the driver to change the suspension setup from a standard ride to the more aggressive sport mode (track mode). With the standard roll cage, this Porsche 911’s purpose is clear, track…track and more track.
