2004-2008 Porsche 997 (911) (997.1) Carrera S Specifications Specs

2004-2008 Porsche 997 S (911) (997.1) Carrera Specifications SpecsIn 2004 the Porsche 997 S (997.1) Carrera was released with a slightly larger engine over the standard 997. The main distinction between the 997 S and the standard model was the engine displacement bumped from 3.6 liters to 3.8 liters. As with the standard 997 the S model came wit the PASM (Porsche Suspension Management System), which allowed drivers to switch between a standard ride or a more aggressive sport setting. The 997 S also had the available option of the Sport Chrono (identifiable as the clock in the center of the dashboard) which upped the power and throttle response when activated. The 997 S came with standard 19-inch wheels and a mean sounding 4-outlet exhaust. This version of the Porsche 911 quickly became a favorite over the standard model of the time.
