2003-2005 Porsche 996 (911) GT3 Carrera Specifications Specs

2003-2005 Porsche 996 (911) GT3 Carrera Specifications SpecsIn 2003 the Porsche 996 GT3 was re released but this time as a full production model as apposed to the previous generation, which only saw production of 1890 vehicles. The power was bumped from the previous GT3’s 360 to 380 horsepower. Porsche did a great job in giving this new 996 GT3 an aggressive look but did not go to the extremes of trimming the weight as they did in the previous generation GT3 and RS models. Although the new GT3 did not have rear seats it did have more of the customary Porsche 911 creature comforts. These trade offs to make the new Porsche 996 GT3 more comfortable on the street and accessible diminished its rarity appeal to many enthusiasts. Although these GT3’s are relatively rare they are not as rare as the previous generation as this author was unable to find one for sale on a popular automotive classified website (as of this writing).
