1994-1998 Porsche 993 (911) Carrera 4 Specifications SpecsIntroduced in 1994 the Porsche 993 Carrera 4 replaced the widely accepted disappointing performance of the 964 Carrera 4. The newly designed all wheel drive system in the 993 allowed the traction control to put as little a 5% of the power to the front wheels or as much as 35% when needed. With this new system, the Porsche 993 Carrera 4 maintained the feel of a rear wheel drive sports car but the traction all wheel drive.
