1973 Porsche 911E Specifications SpecsThe 1973 Porsche 911E was introduced with the same 2.4-liter flat 6 engine and saw just minor changes from the prior model year. The most important change in this Porsche 911 was relocation of the oil fill cap from the outside of the car (many unfortunate incidents reported where cars oil reserves were filled with gasoline) to inside the engine bay. The 1973 Porsche 911E was the last of the E series to have the short-lived 2.4-liter engine.
