1969-1971 Porsche 911S Specifications SpecsThe 1969-1971 Porsche 911S, like the 911E, saw an increase in the engine capacity from the 2.0-liter to 2.2-liter. The 1969 to 1971 Porsche 911S also came available with Sportomatic transmission, which was basically a 5–speed. Unlike the Porsche 911E Carrera the 911S did not see the beneficial torque improvement requiring more rpm to get it going and to some a negative with the new transmission option.
